It definitely is a new track. New rhythm/lead riffs and new vocal patterns. Not sure why my first comment was deleted. Nothing derogatory, it was just stating fact, given I'm very familiar with all their material.

@@HAHb-zc2dp Then please, share a link to the actual track. I've been absolutely aching to hear the 'studio version' of this track, and can't find it anywhere. Because as of now, those who were in attendance are saying this is 'Dark Space -2.-2, and that has never been actually released.

The irony here is that Wroth/Tobias himself just confirmed in his first every video interview this month that -2.-2 is indeed a new track, and began as a keyboard composition just two years ago.

I can understand the sentiment. I like the song but it is lacking the metal / black metal punch and is very repetetive and simple. I am a guitarist myself and it looks like the song only consists of two powerchords? :D Anyway, the ambiance is nice and I am looking forward to the EP / album.

My question to you, just curious..would it also bore you then if after a little sporadic ambience, it was all just blasting? To be honest, those are soundscapes they've already crafted throughout Dark Space II & III. So I suppose my counter is that for the first time, they're attempting cosmic sounds that are intentionally not blasting. Just thoughts.

@@PadanFain-yp2yz Yeah, it is a matter of taste. I like both sides.. ambient music and metal. The best is if they are balanced, contrasting each other. Personally I found Dark Space II pretty much on the ambient side. But has been a while since I listened it the last time.

@@Obsidian88 I completely agree, thanks for your reply. And it is my recommendation that you revisit Dark Space II sometime, since it sounds like it's been a while. Three tracks, only the 2nd is ambience. The second half of the first track and first half of the third track are complete blasting brutality.

If you like the Ambience it isn't boring. It's a Band like Sunn O)), i think they just could improve their shows. I don't know if I would enjoy a whole show. For me Darkspace is the perfect backing track for playing hours of sci fi games. I don't need anything new. just MORE! :D

Anyone can play a bunch fancy technical riffs with enough practice. Making music that is a portal to another world like Darkspace is an ability only a few people are born with.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I was under the impression that the AKG C1000S still sounds pretty good (recording for acoustic guitar and female vocals). Which mic do you recommend?

@@Maschinenzimmer777 this of course we know :) we also saw them in Innsbruck one month ago or so, with this new lineup. I was more or less referring to the "unfortunate issues" during the last tour (which, if I'm not mistaken, was like abruptly canceled while ongoing?) and the label change.

Seems late 2023 was perhaps the plan, but I received confirmation that these new sounds will be released in early 2024.
